Common questions

Where is my child's progress saved?

Only on this device. Explorilla has no accounts and sends nothing to us, so progress does not move to another phone by itself. Your device's own backup (for example iCloud Backup) can include it.

How do I open the parent area?

Tap "Grown-ups" on the home screen. The parental gate asks a grown-up question (a multiplication written in words), then your parent PIN. The first time, you choose the PIN. The parent area holds the dashboard, the settings and the privacy policy.

I forgot the parent PIN.

Tap "Forgotten the PIN?" on the PIN screen. It asks the grown-up question again and then lets you set a new PIN. Your children's progress is kept.

How do I reset or remove a child's progress?

In the parent area, choose the child and then "Delete player". That erases the child's profile and progress from this device. To erase everything, delete the app from the device. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete.

How do I change my child's school year?

In the parent area, choose the child and change the school year. Explorilla starts from there and adjusts to what your child can do.

A question looks wrong.

Your child can tap "Something looks wrong?" on the question, or you can find it among the recent questions in the parent area and tap "Report a problem with this question". Reports stay on the device, under "Reported questions" in the parent area, until you export them as a spreadsheet or PDF, which opens your device's own share sheet so you can send them to us. They do not include your child's name.

How do I buy, restore or cancel the family plan?

In the parent area, open "Family plan" and answer the grown-up question. There you can choose a plan, restore a plan bought on another device ("Restore purchases"), redeem a code, or manage and cancel a subscription. Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple. See the terms of use.
